Summer is finally here. Greetings to the Sun! To barbeques, eating outside and to beautiful days!

In my free days, when I don’t have plans with Backyard Tours – by the way, have you been checking their last adventures? 😉 -, I like to wake up early, do some exercise and then have a calm and good breakfast. Sometimes just coffee with some toasts are ok, but there are those days when you want more and when the urge to mess the kitchen to bake is too high.

Last week was exactly like that. I thought in baking some chocolate muffins with banana, rich in potassium and fiber.

(Makes 6 – Faz 6)
Ingredients:

100 g of flour | farinha
50 g of butter | manteiga
50 g of brown sugar | açúcar amarelo
1 Banana
1 Teaspoon of baking powder | colher de sobremesa de fermento em pó
1 Teaspoon of vanilla essence | colher de sobremesa de essência de baunilha
1 Tablespoon of cocoa powder | colher de sopa cacau em pó
2 Tablespoon of semi-skimmed milk | colheres de sopa de leite meio-gordo

Pre-heat the oven (190º C).
Pré-aqueça o forno (190ºC).

Blend the flour, the baking powder and the cocoa.
Misture a farinha, o fermento e o cacau em pó.

Mix the butter at room temperature with the sugar and vanilla; add the flour and the milk. Combine everything with the banana cutted in small slices.
Misture a manteiga à temperatura ambiente com o açúcar e a essência; adicione a farinha e o leite. Misture tudo muito bem com a banana cortada às fatias.

Place the dough in cupcakes or muffins pans with muffin liners and bake it for about 20 minutes or until they’ve raised and achieve a goldish look.
Leve ao forno, em forminhas de queques, e deixe cozer cerca de 20 minutos ou até terem crescido e ganho um aspecto dourado.

The muffins were really tasty; not even one survived more than a day; otherwise, they would be perfect to carry to everywhere – either to the beach or other place in your free time or to work, when you’re very busy.

Both ways, those muffins are just yummy!


O Verão chegou finalmente. Saudações ao Sol! Aos churrascos, a comer no jardim e aos dias bonitos!

Nos meus dias livres, quando não tenho planos com os Backyard Tours, gosto de me levantar cedo, fazer algum exercício e, depois, ter um calmo e saboroso pequeno-almoço. Às vezes café e torradas chega, mas depois há aqueles dias em que a necessidade de ir para à cozinha e fazer algo é bem maior.

Foi o que aconteceu na semana passada. Pensei então nuns queques de chocolate e banana, ricos em potássio e fibra.

Os queques são muito saborosos; não sobreviveu nenhum mais que um dia; senão teriam sido perfeitos para levar a qualquer lado – para a praia ou mesmo para o trabalho. Ambas as formas, eles são yummy!
